Support Deer Hunting on FDR State Park
You can take action on this alert by reading the information below and following the
directions at the bottom.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division (WRD) has scheduled four public hearings to accept public comment on proposed hunting regulations.
These hunting regulations include hunting on F. D. Roosevelt State Park for the 2008-2009. Specifically, WRD has proposed a January 13-14, 2009 hunt with a quota of 150.
The Camo Coalition has learned that anti-hunters associated with the Pine Mountain Trail Association (PMTA) are orchestrating an effort to motivate PMTA members to attend these public hearings in force and oppose the proposed regulations for F. D. Roosevelt State Park. We encourage all Camo Coalition members to attend one of the scheduled public hearings and take action to voice your SUPPORT for the proposed regulations allowing deer hunting on F. D. Roosevelt State Park. Take several friends with you and ask them to voice their SUPPORT for sound conservation and hunting. PUBLIC HEARING LOCATIONS: Monday, April 14, 2008: Southwest Georgia Regional Library, 301 South Monroe Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819 Tuesday, April 15, 2008: Harris County Middle School, 184 South College Street, Hamilton, GA 31811 Monday, April 21, 2008: Georgia Mountains Center, 301 South Main Street, SW, Gainesville, GA 30503 Tuesday, April 22, 2008: Evans County Wildlife Club, 501 Cedar Avenue, Hagan (Claxton) The Camo Coalition understands that not everyone can attend a public hearing, but if at all possible, it is most important to attend the APRIL 15th meeting at the Harris County Middle School. All of you that live near Hamilton please attend and bring a crowd with you. There are other means by which you can voice your SUPPORT for the proposed hunting regulations for FDR State Park. Those unable to attend the hearings may simply hit the TAKE ACTION button to submit your opinion by email or you can mail your comments to: Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division, Game Management Section Attn: John Bowers 2070 U.S. Highway 278, S.E.
