Protect Your 2nd Amendment Rights You can take action on this alert by reading the information below and following the directions at the bottom. Senate Bill (SB 12) has been prefiled in the Georgia General Assembly. It is a threat to your Second Amendment rights and will impact sport shooting and hunting. On December 11, State Senator Ronald Ramsey of Dekalb and Rockdale counties prefiled legislation to require a unique identifier etched on the base of bullets used in handguns in Georgia. The extensive bill (6 pages) includes requirements for taxing of the ammo to fund the requirement and record-keeping of who is buying the ammo. This bill will have an impact on sport shooting and hunting. Click on the "More Info" button below to read the bill. The 2009 General Assembly session begins on Monday, January 12. We need to stop this measure before it receives any consideration. TAKE ACTION to voice your opinion to Senator Ramsey. Your message will also be sent to your state senator and your state representative. Encourage others to help stop this bill.
